Analytical chemistry is the study of how to observe the properties of substances through various chemical approaches.
Analytical chemistry is the fundamental study of chemistry that identifies properties, including the structure and composition of various materials, based on the theory of natural science. Additionally, we are applying it to a wide range of applications, including bioanalytic technology and optoelectronic material development, by researching nano-level materials.
Department of Chemistry, GIST is researching the development of biosensor source technology using surface plasmon resonance, fluorescence and light emission, nano electrodes, and the synthesis of graphene and other two-dimensional nanomaterials, as well as the development of excellent optoelectronic materials through surface chemical reaction technology. The development of life technology and various materials will contribute to solving the central problem in the current society by promoting the academic and technological development of basic science from such research.
