Our Functional Protein Engineering Laboratory (FPEL) focuses on 1) design and engineering of therapeutic proteins to improve human health, 2) design and engineering of biocatalysts and protein nanomaterials to secure sustainable energy and 3) design of polymer- or protein-based drug delivery vehicles.

We welcome undergraduate intern students (or advisees for Bachelor degree thesis) who major chemistry and life science as well as materials science/engineering.
