광주과학기술원 전력시스템 연구실에서는 에너지 기술과 지속가능한 사회의 조화로운 발전을 위한 연구를 합니다. 연구 분야로는 전력계통의 계획/운영/제어/보호/복구, 에너지 관리, 분산에너지원(신재생에너지, 에너지저장장치, 기타 분산전원 등)의 제어, 무선전력전송 등을 포함하고 있습니다. 우리가 연구하는 전력시스템의 대상 범위는, 송전 및 배전계통은 물론이고, 스마트그리드, 마이크로그리드, 빌딩 및 홈 에너지 시스템 등 전기에너지를 공급하는 모든 기반시설을 포함하고 있습니다. 전력시스템 분야의 연구를 위해서는 다양한 기술들의 융합이 이루어집니다. 전력시스템공학, 전력전자공학, 최적화 기법, 데이터 분석, 인공지능, 수학적 모델링, 제어이론 등이 이에 포함되며, 연구 성과들은 소프트웨어 시뮬레이션, HILS (Hardward in the Loop System), 파일럿 시스템 등으로 검증됩니다.
Power Systems Laboratory (PSL) GIST researches on the harmonious growth of both the energy technology and the sustainable society. Planning/operation/control/protection/restoration of power systems, energy management, control of distributed energy resources (such as renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, other distributed generations), and wireless power transfer are included in our field of study. We are considering all of transmission and distribution network, smart grid, microgrid, building and home energy system as power systems. Many different technologies are integrated into power systems field. Power system engineering, power electronics engineering, optimization techniques, data analytics, artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, and control theory are used as methodologies. Research results are tested and verified by software simulation, hardware in the loop simulation (HILS), and pilot system.
