This course delas with energy resources, conversion, conservation, and environmental impacts. Specifically, topics covered include different types of energy resources and their uses, different types of energy conversion technology such as fuel cells, bioenergy conversion and other energy conversions. Current status and future challenges of energy generation and conservation in terms of renewability and sustainability will be discussed. Critical environmental issues will also be discussed.

Currently, "carbon" and its "cyclic reaction" is most critical point and concept to be understood in our academic society as well as living life. In this class, we specifically aims to understand the concepts of "carbon recycling" and "carbon upcycling" using the fundamentals to biological reactions. The course also provides the information of the area by introducing recently published articles in journals including Nature and Science.
