Course Description
This course aims to study the architecture and operations of microcontrollers based on the Texas Instruments MSP430 microcontroller. Major topics to be discussed are computer systems, programming languages, digital input/output, analog to digital converters, interrupts, timers, and DC motor control. Each topic is studied with practice using the MSP430 microcontroller. Finally, students will conduct a project to design an embedded system using the microcontroller.
