Advanced turbulence modeling effort with machine learning is published recently. Complex 3D supersonic turbulent flow is well incorporated in our turbulence model trained with relevant data for a high-speed vehicle. The data-driven turbulence model is able to capture supersonic axisymmetric base flow which involves severe flow separation and compressbility phenomena as shown in the figure below for the Mach number of 2.5.
