K-UNDP cooperation project is the facility/programs for Capacity Development of Poverty Reduction through the K-UNDP Joint Development Action jointly sponsored by the Multilateral Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Science and ICT and Future Planning, the UNDP United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC)

Objective
  • Increaseing the accessibility of safe drinking water through the collection of data on drinking water safety by allowing a systematic analysis of microbiogical and chemical pollutants on a national level through the education and training of developing countries on water quality monitoring
  • Improving the quality of life and contributing to the eradication of poverty by increasing the sustainability of health and the environment through the expansive of safe drinking water supplies
Project Name Science and Technical Training for Water Quality Monitoring and Management of Sustainable Water Resources
Participants water quality experts from Southeast Asia and Africa, government authorities related to water quality, researchers of government institutes and water treatment companies
Period 2 weeks per workshop (5 total with 50 invited people)
Contents Provided laboratory training and theoretical lectures on water quality analysis methodology for heavy metals, organic pollutants, and monitoring for microorganisms
