The GIST became the 200th member of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN). The IERI joined the CTCN as the representative of the GIST.

The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) is part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Technology Mechanism.
The CTCN's mission is to stimulate technology cooperation and enhance the development and transfer of technologies to developing country parties at their request.
