More than a decade has passed since we entered the 21st century, the world demands not the person with the knowledge in specific field but the good-natured person with creative and convergent thinking. During the period of freshman and sophomore, GIST students leamed the fundamental knowledge on science. When they enter into the Physics concentration, they will lay the foundation for future Physicist by studying the high-level Physics courses.

Research subjects of Physics are unlimited and, therefore, all the basic principles and phenomena in nature can be the research subjects to us. So, we focus to provide the students a deep conceptual understanding of fundamental Physics. The curriculum includes 6 required courses and 14 elective courses along with 2 research courses. And the concentrations are being operated without barriers each other, students can study any courses in the college and can develop the scientific thinking skills in science and engineering very widely. Furthermore, the students can have many opportunities to participate in the graduate school labs through the internship program, G-SURF program, and individual research.

We are sure that the best education environment is offered to the students and they will be grown up as leaders in science and global community. Thank you.
